Mormon youth helping local agencies

Nearly 100 youth from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are in the Columbus area today to participate in their annual Youth Conference — and to perform community service for more than 15 organizations at 24 locations.

The youths are from areas in and around Columbus.

Organizations they will assist range from Foundation For Youth and Salvation Army to Love Chapel food pantry.

The organization’s purpose is to exemplify Jesus Christ’s life and ministry in providing service, according to organizers.
