Marketplace: Drybread new director of Edinburgh community center

The town of Edinburgh has announced the hiring of SaraBeth Drybread as the new director of the community center in downtown Edinburgh, at 100 E. Main Cross St. The center is named the John R. Drybread Community Center, in honor of the former town manager who passed away in 2016. She is John’s daughter.

The center will focus on three areas: providing programming and services to adults of all ages, becoming a central hub with resources for residents and visitors and promoting economic development in the downtown and surrounding area.

Previously, she served as project manager and outreach coordinator for the Columbus Food Co-op. She co-chaired the annual Empty Bowls event, which raised money for local food pantries, and served on Purdue Extension’s Advisory Council.

She completed her MBA from Indiana University in 2017 and has been working for the past two years with Upland Brewing Company’s marketing team.
