Hauser High School students, staff mourn student’s death

HOPE — Hauser High School and its student body are in mourning after learning of the death of a member of the senior class today.

Flat Rock-Hawcreek Superintendent Shawn Price said Trevor Frazee, 18, who attended the alternative school at Hauser High School, died Thursday of cardiac arrest associated with a recent illness. Frazee was not at school when the incident occurred, Price said.

All Hauser High School events tonight were canceled in respect to the family, and the family has requested privacy at this time, Price said.

Additional staff members will be available to assist students at Hauser on Friday.

“I know Trevor and this is very tragic,” Price said in a telephone interview, shortly after learning of the teen’s death at about 2 p.m. “Our hearts go out to his family.”
