While speaking with Perry and Burch, the officer noted that they were visibly nervous. A police canine was requested and later alerted police to the odor of narcotics coming from the stopped vehicle, Harris said.
Officers searched the truck and located a syringe, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Perry and Burch were taken into custody and transported to the jail, Harris said.
At the jail, the officers and corrections staff located additional drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine that Burch attempted to conceal in his clothing, Harris said.
