‘Labor Day Sting’ event coming to fairgrounds

Hoosier Pro Wrestling will host “Labor Day Sting” at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $12, or free for ages 4 and under.

Golfers can sign up for Sons of American Legion tourney

Sept. 2 is the deadline to register for the Edinburgh Sons of the American Legion Golf Tournament, which will be at 9 a.m. Sept. 9 at Timbergate Golf Course.

Cost is $240 per team and includes door prizes and dinner. Prizes also will be awarded for first through fourth places, plus closest to the pin and longest drive.

Small Ball Bash to feature co-ed, men’s tourneys

The Cole Weddle Small Ball Bash will be Sept. 8 and 9 at Lincoln Park. The Co-ed tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 8, and the Men’s tourney will start at 9 a.m. Sept. 9.

Entry fee is $150 per team, and three games are guaranteed. Signup deadline is Sept. 5.

Volleyball club to hold open gyms, tryouts

Hope Area Volleyball Club (HAVOC) will have two elite club teams this year.

HAVOC will host open gyms Oct. 7, 14 and 21 at Hauser High School. Tryouts will be Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. for high school girls and from 3 to 5 p.m. for junior high girls.
