Marketplace: CRH upgrades operating suite with new imaging devices

Columbus Regional Health has announced the hospital has a new hybrid operating suite equipped with advanced medical imaging devices.

The new equipment enables surgeons to perform various minimally-invasive procedures more efficiently and effectively with reduced radiation to patients, staff, and surgeons. Minimally-invasive procedures allow for less pain and quicker recovery times for patients as opposed to open procedures.

The hybrid operating room is equipped with the Philips Azurion 7 imaging system, a ceiling mounted C-Arm, that allows surgeons quick and flexible imaging capabilities. The Azurion 7 offers the newest imaging technology available, and is the only system of its kind in the area, according to a statement from the hospital.

The $3.5 million, 2,000-square-foot suite opened for patient procedures in late August.
