COLUMBUS, Ind. — A Bartholomew County man was arrested after he allegedly left a Columbus store without paying for merchandise valued at more than $2,100.
At about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Columbus Police Department Officer Trenton Browning was dispatched to the east-side Walmart, at 735 Whitfield Drive, on a report of a man acting suspiciously inside the store, said Lt. Matt Harris, public information officer for the Columbus Police Department.
Store employees said that they confronted the man, later identified as Dustin R. Jessie, 29, of 7120 N.
