COLUMBUS, Ind. — A request by Bartholomew County’s substance abuse initiative for about $500,000 to set up a physical location received initial approval from a funding board, and now awaits additional approvals to be finalized.
The Substance Abuse Public Funding Board approved Monday the request by the Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress to create the ASAP Hub, at the former United Way office in the Doug Otto Center, where people seeking treatment will find referrals and assistance in recovering from addiction.
The request now awaits final consideration from the Columbus City Council and Bartholomew County Council.
