SEYMOUR
Ron D. Hoover, 85, of Seymour and formerly of Clifford, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:08 a.m. at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Born January 31, 1933 in Hartford, Kentucky the son of Archie D. and Della Bartlett Hoover. He married Donna M. Dunn on February 28, 1954.
Mr. Hoover served in the United States Army. He was a retired General Contractor and member of Parkside Baptist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, and shooting pool.
Survivors include his son, Barry (Greta) Hoover of Columbus; grandchildren, Andy Hoover, Taylor Hoover, Matt Cooley, and Sarah Pierce; brother, Bob Hoover; and a sister, Jean Luttrell.
Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna M. Hoover on November 4, 2013; son, William Ray Hoover; Siblings, Jay Hoover, Rae Hoover, and Dalton Hoover.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dr. William E. Bailey officiating.
Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Full military rites will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lutheran Community Home.
