East senior organizes fall bazaar at church

A Columbus East High School senior has organized a fall bazaar at the Columbus First Church of the Nazarene.

The bazaar planned by Elyssa Mills will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 1245 McClure Road, with all proceeds benefiting the church’s youth group trip to Arizona for the Nazarene Youth Conference.

The event will feature more than 20 vendor booths, a concession stand and a silent auction. For more information, call 812-344-4301.

White Creek Lutheran School plans fundraiser

A basket bingo event at White Creek Lutheran School will help raise money for a seventh- and eighth-grade class trip to Chicago.

The Nov. 9 event at the school, 16270 S. County Road 300W will begin at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening an hour earlier. Twenty games may be purchased for $20 before Nov. 9, while the cost will be $25 at the door. A raffle is planned and refreshments will be served.
