Texas Roadhouse will have a groundbreaking ceremony for its new restaurant scheduled to open next year on the city’s west side.
The ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Monday on the north side of Merchant’s Mile, where it plans to relocate its existing restaurant at 2508 25th St. The new location is near Chevrolet of Columbus and adjacent to Fairfield Inn & Suites.
Jarrod Hoye, managing partner with Texas Roadhouse, said the restaurant is expected to open sometime in the second quarter of 2019.
The company said earlier this year it planned to relocate its existing restaurant to the west side in part because of the high visibility and traffic from Interstate 65.
