IUPUC hosts speech competition
IUPUC students will compete for scholarships during a speech competition on Friday.
The university will host its Fall SpeakEasy speech competition from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the lecture hall at the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave.
Seven to eight students will deliver informative speeches with $250, $200 and $150 scholarships awarded for first-, second- and third place-winners, said Anna Carmon, associate professor and director of the communication studies program. The event is open to the public.
