Kelly Lowry and Palak Patel of Columbus announce their engagement.
Miss Lowry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University in 2003 and is employed at WellConnect at Columbus Regional Hospital. She is the daughter of James and Nancy Lowry of Columbus.
The future groom graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2001. He is a mechanical engineer at Cummins Inc. He is the son of Kirenda and the late Joyti Patel of Talbott, Tennessee.
A traditional Hindu wedding is set for Dec. 31, followed by a traditional American wedding on Jan. 1.
