Help city assess bike plan

COLUMBUS, Ind. — City officials are seeking members from the public to serve on a steering committee to help update the city’s bicycle and pedestrian plan.

The Columbus-Bartholomew County Planning Department is seeking 12 to 15 members from the community to update the plan, which was adopted in 2010, said Emilie Pinkston, senior planner with the city.

Individuals who serve on the committee will help identify key issues related to bicycle and pedestrian mobility, offer comments and opinions as new ideas are presented and provide feedback on draft planning documents.
