Emergency director: Use caution when traveling

COLUMBUS, Ind. –Bartholomew County’s travel status remains at an advisory level after an additional 2-plus inches of snow fell overnight, and motorists should use caution when traveling, the county’s emergency management director said this morning.

Roads are again snow-covered and slick, with some drifting in areas. Highway crews are out working now to clear roads, Shannan Hinton said.

The area could receive an additional inch of snow and some wind gusts between 20 and 30 mph today, Hinton added.

The county’s travel status will be evaluated again later today.
