EDINBURGH
Ruth Ann Jones, 80, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away January 10, 2019 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.
She was born May 3, 1938 in Columbus, Indiana. She was the daughter of Chester and Ethel Joslin. She married Roy Milton Jones on November 10, 1961 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1994.
She is survived by son, Timothy Dean Jones of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughter, Joyce (Glen Dale) Frost of Edinburgh, Indiana, son, Roy Jones, Jr. of Saint Louis Crossing, Indiana, daughter, Janet Jones of Saint Louis Crossing, Indiana, daughter adopted out at birth, grandchildren, Terry Jones, Brianna Frost, and Joseph Frost, and her beloved dog, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and longtime companion, Bobby Joe Burton.
Ruth attended Grace Tabernacle Church in Edinburgh and Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh.
She formerly had worked at National Linen and Dolly Madison.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her dog, Charlie, the Forth-Of-July Fireworks, fishing, bird watching, and donating to charities.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. by Reverend Terry England on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Grace Tabernacle Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Burial will be at Springer Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Indiana.
