Charles “Bob” Lambert, 86, of Union Street, died at 6:31 a.m. January 9, 2019, at his home.

Bob was born March 8, 1932, in Columbus, the son of Roy and Emma Mumford Lambert. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Cookson October 7, 1950.

He retired from Indiana Gas Company in 1990 and was a member of the Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed their trips to Florida and while living in Florida, he and his wife managed Tropic Breeze Mobile Home Park in Port Richey and the Royal Palm Mobile Home Park in St. Petersburg.

Bob loved to play his steel guitar and was a handyman who could fix anything. He had a smile that everyone loved.

The funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Columbus Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Castle and Pastor Barb Tuttle officiating. Calling will be 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Free Methodist Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; sons, Ronald Lambert of Greenwood and Jason (Melissa) Lambert of Franklin; grandchildren, Jody Lambert, Sierra Lambert, Lindsay Eddy, Hunter Lambert, Dylon Tevebaugh, Carie Jackson and Olivia Tevebaugh; and great-grandchildren, Cash Vinson, Bently Rauls and A.J. Rauls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Bev Jackson; and brothers, Gilman Lambert and Roy Lambert.
