The following closings have been announced for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
- Bartholomew County offices and the county courthouse are closed.
- The Bartholomew Co Solid Waste Management District Office and Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center will be closed.
- Columbus City Hall and city offices are closed.
- Columbus trash and recycle collections will run on schedule but the city’s Board of Public Works office is closed.
- Columbus City Utilities is closed. If you have a problem with water or sewer service, call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.

All post offices in Indiana will be closed and there will be no mail delivery. Customers are encouraged to still drop their mail in blue street collection boxes, so it can be processed early the next day.
