New year, new opportunities for students

Just a few weeks into 2019, the trending hashtag #NewYearNewMe has swept the nation, encouraging people to positively reevaluate their lives.

Whether that be finally committing to losing the weight, starting a new hobby or making new friends, society has interpreted this year as a clean slate.

As for Jennings County High School, the students seem to have the same mindset. Some students have decided to come out of their comfort zones and join a club, cut the negative energy out of their lives, or just simply try to show up on time — mainly seniors.

Students can anticipate many events coming up in the new year. Seniors can reflect and enjoy their final semester of high school, and other students can look forward to a magical night at prom and an exciting winter homecoming.
