Duncan ties for 51st in The Desert Classsic

Tyler Duncan followed back-to-back rounds of 66 with a 71 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 51st at 12-under-par 276 in The Desert Classic.

Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, opened with a 73 on Thursday at PGA West in La Quinta, California.

Adam Long won the tournament with a 26-under 262, one shot better than Phil Mickelson and Adam Hadwin.

Boilermaker women rally to upset Hoosiers

Ali Patberg led 25th-ranked Indiana with five assists, but was held to a season-low two points Sunday in a 56-53 Big Ten women’s basketball loss at Purdue.

Bendu Yeaney scored 15 points, and Jaelynn Penn added 14 to lead the Hoosiers (15-4, 4-3). Kayana Traylor led the Boilermakers (14-6, 5-2) with 15, while Karissa McLaughlin added 14.
