• my thoughtful neighbor on North Marr Road who cleared my driveway, because it was appreciated, from a grateful neighbor.

• whoever left the Kroger gift card in our mailbox, from a family affected by the government shutdown.

• all the staff at Lincoln Village apartments — including maintenance, Kevin, Sara, Ian and Kathy — for all the work you do so that we have a great community to live in.

• the family sitting next to me at Johnny Carino’s for paying for my meal and making my day!

• Larry Watler for clearing our driveway, from the Kruegers.

• Tim and Sandie Goodwin for clearing off my sidewalk, my truck and driveway after the snow storm, from Paula Winkler.

• Sgt. Kris Weisner on his retirement after 36 years of keeping our community safe and a job well done.

• the school with the rear door that is unlocked and accessible without a key for a lack of security.

• anyone that uses the center turn lane for anything other than making a left hand turn.

• those who think the Republicans "control" the Senate because 60 votes are needed to pass legislation and there are only 53 Republicans in the Senate.

• those who think that Democrats are against securing the border, when in fact they are for other security options but against paying for a wall that was supposed to be paid for by Mexico.

• the city for the costly entry fee for the Festival of Lights parade.

• people knowing that you try to get away for a few days and will not leave you alone, either texting or calling you constantly complaining about work or other matters.
