Grace Malson, 89, of Columbus, passed from this life at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Malson was born February 17, 1929, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late Charles Lee and Pearl Dennison Denny. On August 3, 1946, Grace married Earl L. Malson; he preceded her in death May 8, 2003.

Mrs. Malson was a homemaker and was a former employee at Arvin Industries.

Mrs. Malson was of the Baptist faith and she loved her kids and grandkids and cherished the time she spent with them. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

She is survived by her children, Rick E. Malson of Columbus and Donna M. (Wayne) Dailey of Columbus; grandchildren, Brian Thorpe of Mount Auburn, Bridget Dailey of Columbus, Tonya Dailey of Indianapolis, Meghan (David) Bonner of Nashville, Devin Malson of Columbus, Kelsay Malson of Hope and Kendra (Will) Whiters of Seymour; great-grandchildren, Brianna Thorpe, Bailey Thorpe, Austin Hudson, Blake Hudson, Cierra Hudson, Wyatt Reed, Hannah Reed, Jenna Reed, Sophia Clay, Marshawn Clay and Evalyn Bonner; a great-great grandson, Ryder Wayne Thorpe, who Grace was anxiously awaiting his arrival in February; sisters, Katherine Louderman of Colorado and Rosemary (Perry) Crippen of Columbus; a brother, Jimmy Denny of Columbus; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Malson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; and siblings, Ralph Denny, Shirley Spears, Helen Rynerson, Charles Lee Denny and Mae Caffee.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday.

Mrs. Malson will be laid to rest next to her husband at Garland Brook Cemetery.
