No. 11 Maryland pulls away from IU women

Eleventh-ranked Maryland held Ali Patberg to three points Sunday afternoon in handing Indiana a 76-56 Big Ten women’s basketball defeat.

Patberg, a redshirt-junior from Columbus North, added three assists and a steal in 26 minutes of action for the Hoosiers (16-5, 5-4). Jaelynn Penn led Indiana with 15 points, while Bendu Yeaney added 10.

The Hoosiers led 14-6 midway through the first quarter and were within 26-25 midway through the second quarter before the Terrapins closed the first half with a 14-0 run to pull away.
