Panthers move into final

NEW ALBANY — Jennings County survived a scare from host New Albany Saturday night before escaping with a 49-48 semifinal win to advance to Monday’s night’s New Albany Sectional title game.

The Panthers (16-8) will play defending regional champion Bedford North Lawrence in the final. The Stars beat North Harrison 56-35 in Saturday’s first semifinal.

Trinity falls in final

EDINBURGH — Trinity Lutheran saw its season come to an end with a 59-35 loss to West Washington in the championship game of the Class A Edinburgh Sectional.

Savannah Harweger led the Cougars (17-9) with 11 points.

Eagles ground Jets

INDIANAPOLIS — Class 2A No. 6 Heritage Christian jumped out to a 37-18 halftime lead and went on to hand Hauser a 72-51 defeat.

Sam Johnson led the Jets (7-9) with 13 points. Will Trotter scored 12, and Trey Johnson added 11.

Tigers edge Lancers

CROTHERSVILLE — Edinburgh came up just short in a 40-38 loss at Crothersville.

Jordan Myers led the Lancers (5-11) with 16 points. Bryce Burton and Noah Detling each added nine.

Tiger Cubs top Eagles

NASHVILLE — Greencastle ran out to a 27-12 halftime lead and went on to hand Brown County a 59-38 loss.

Caleb Yeager led the Eagles (3-13) with 12 points.
