Columbus police are inviting the public to stop in at Columbus Chik-Fil-A from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday for Coffee with a Cop.
The event offers a free cup of coffee and a chance to speak with a police officer away from the police station and in a more relaxed atmosphere. The Columbus Police Department has been participating in the program since 2016.
Columbus Police Chief Jon Rohde, who is attending along with Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop, said officers look forward to meeting with residents and listening to their concerns.
