Troop 588 Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast and Rummage Sale
- 7:30 a.m., Flintwood Wesleyan Church, 5300 25th St., Columbus. Breakfast, a silent auction, and rummage sale. Proceeds will help raise funds to support Boy Scout Troop 588.
2019 Brown Music Competition
- 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., First Christian Church, 531 Fifth St., Columbus. High school instrumentalists and vocalists will compete for Heritage Fund scholarship awards at the all-day event, beginning at 8 a.m. Free and open to the public.
Hope Area Chamber of Commerce Networking Event

Community Cast-A-Ways Garage Sale

Winter Tinkergarten
- 10:45 a.m., Mill Race Park, 50 Carl Miske Drive, Columbus. Expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate and create together. This winter, the curriculum for children 18 months to 8 years and will support the development of a range of cognitive, social/emotional and physical skills. Remix: Life-size Game

Did You Know? Black History Month Event
- 2:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Cabrina’s Safe Haven for Kidz Ministries present skits about black inventors including insights into the lives of the inventors through poems, dance and song. Light refreshments follow the event.

‘Cabaret’
- 7:30 p.m., The Commons, 300 Washington St., Columbus. Mill Race Theatre Company presents the musical ‘Cabaret’ to kick off its 50th anniversary season. Musical explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Jennings County
Vet to Vet Breakfast
- 7 a.m., ETC Building, West O&M Avenue, North Vernon. Monthly breakfast fundraiser, proceeds go to efforts to lower suicide rates in southern Indiana. Vet to Vet is open to all southern Indiana veterans. Meetings take place every Thursday at the North Vernon ETC. The group shares knowledge and offers connections with fellow veterans.
