Ten local Columbus students are being recognized for their entries in a Faurecia poster contest celebrating International Women’s Day.
Students in third grade through eighth grade could submit a poster about a women who inspired the student. The women could be historical, contemporary or personal. Posters included an image of the women, a significant quote and an essay from the student.
The winners are Gabin Dupuis of Parkside Elementary School, Romane Dunand of ABC Stewart School, Caroline Frost, Adah Newman Stump, Anna Liimatta, Ritisha Rashmil, Shruthika Kumarasubramanian and Annabelle Fields of Central Middle School, Kylee Dieter of Rockcreek Elementary, and Mariah Holt of Southside Elementary School.
Students were judged by topic, creativity and inspiration. They also received awards in their respective grade level categories.
Faurecia received nearly 100 entries, including 70 entries from Central Middle School. Winners received a $25 Target gift card.
The posters are on display in the Commons through Thursday.
