Purdue students

compete in quiz bowl

WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue University is sending a team to face off against some of the top-ranked schools in the nation in one of the most challenging academic activities in the country. The Boilermakers have qualified for NAQT quiz bowl’s 2019 Intercollegiate Championship Tournament in Chicago on April 6.

Often referred to as the “Super Bowl of the Mind,” quiz bowl is a Jeopardy!-like game played in teams of four that tests students’ knowledge on subjects ranging from sports and pop culture to classic literature and biology. These tournaments are exciting, fast-paced events where students have the ability to buzz in before questions are finished being read. This year’s championship is sponsored by LetterOne.
