Amazing Grace Gospel — Worship services are at 10:30 a.m., with an evening mass at 6:30 p.m, led by Pastor Tom Deane.

Bible study is every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and there is an open mic night every Friday at 6:30 p.m. Bring songs and instruments and praise the lord.

The church is located at 2611 Central Ave., Suite 2, Columbus, adjacent to Amazing Joe’s restaurant and next to the All State Insurance Building.

Dayspring Church Apostolic — Worship begins at 11:15 a.m. at the church, 2127 Doctors Park Drive, Columbus. On Sunday, the church will be inspired by “The Primacy Effect.” This is taken from Proverbs 18:17, where, “He that is first in his own cause seemeth just.” We must get all of the facts.

Every visitor receives a free gift.

The Sunday Education Session starts at 10 a.m. and covers “A New Understanding,” as shared in I Thessalonians 4:13-5:10.

Bible Study is at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and takes a deep dive on the message from the previous Sunday.

We will be in a special study, “My Father Is A Carpenter.” This study is “Bible Apologetics, Lite.” Was Jesus “Liar, Lunatic, or Lord?” Participants have their questions answered and receive a free book. Please attend to register.

Our Prayer of Power starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and is preceded with requests and instructions on prayer. The Celebrate Recovery session starts at 6:30 p.m. for about an hour.

Ignite is the Youth Growth Session that happens every third Friday.

First Presbyterian — Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, 512 Seventh St., Columbus. On the fourth Sunday of Lent, the Gospel for the day, Matthew 25:1-13, is about the bridesmaids and their oil lamps. The sermon will be titled “Ready. Get Set. Wait.” The band “Livin’ by Faith” will lead in worship.

Infant and toddler care is available from 9:15 a.m. to noon Sunday.

The men’s and women’s support groups meet at 7 a.m. Fridays, and a second men’s support group of working-age men meets every Monday at 6:15 a.m.

People in need of a meal are invited to Hot Meals, offered 5 p.m. Friday, with entry through the glass doors on Franklin Street.

The church is LGBTQ-friendly, open and affirming to all.

First United Methodist — On Sunday at the 9 a.m. Traditional Service and the 11 a.m. Celebration Service, Rev. Howard Boles will deliver the message, “Living in a Lenten World: Love and Jealousy,” at the church, 618 Eighth St., Columbus. The scripture will be Luke 15:1-3; 11b-32. Sunday school for all ages begins at 10:10 a.m. Child care is available during both services.

Flintwood Wesleyan — This Sunday the non-traditional Amplify service is at 9 a.m. and The Well traditional service is at 11 a.m. and will be led by Rev. Wes Jones, senior pastor, at 5300 E. 25th St., Columbus.

The Prayer Team meets at 8 a.m. and Sunday school classes meet at their regular rooms. Choir practice is at 5 p.m. followed by the evening service at 6 p.m.

The small group Bible study “In The Beginning…” will resume at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in The Friendship Center. It is studying the book of Genesis.

Wednesday activities begin with supper at 5:30 p.m. followed by GLOW at 6:15 p.m. The Prayer Team meets at 6:15 p.m. in The Prayer Room. Youth meets at 6:30 p.m. and adult Bible study meets at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

On Thursdays, Cub Scout Pack 588 will meet when events are scheduled and Boy Scout Troop 588 will meet at 7 p.m.

Sunday will be Membership Sunday. The church will take members in during both worship services. A pitch-in dinner will follow the 11 a.m. service. Evening activities will be dismissed. If you are interested in membership but haven’t signed up for class, please see Pastor Wes Jones.

Grace Lutheran — At the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services, Rev. John Armstrong will be will bringing the message “Being Found,” based on Luke 15:1-3, 11-32. Children’s Sunday School is at 9:20 a.m.

“The Alpha Course: an intro to Christian ideas” continues from 6 to 8 p.m. April 2, with the topic “How can I be sure of my faith?” All are welcome. Please contact the church if you need childcare.

“Searching the Scriptures” continues from 6 to 8 p.m. April 2, with a detailed look at the Lord’s Prayer. All are welcome. Please contact the church if you need child care.

At 6:30 p.m. April 3, the Lenten sermon series continues with “Will the Real Jesus Please Stand Up? False Christs in the world and in the church today.” Wednesday’s subject is “Jesus, the therapist.”

The International Friendship Center at Grace will gather from 9:30 to 11 a.m. April 5 for English Conversation Groups with a topic of “Spring Cleaning?”

At 7:30 p.m. April 5, there will be a Lenten Taizé service. This contemplative service consists of singing, scripture readings, and silence for reflection. The music will be led by the choir and instrumentalists of Grace. People of all faiths are welcome to attend.

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University will be held at Grace from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Please contact the office for registration information.

Garden City Church of Christ — At the 10 a.m. worship on Sunday, the title for the sermon is “Faith at Home: Building Strong Families at Garden City Church of Christ,” and will be presented by Pastor Brian Gilroy.

Concluding Sunday is the series that emphasizes the calling to pass down our faith in homes and to the next generation. It covers every area of home life with messages to married couples, singles, men, women and young people.

Memorial Baptist — Worship begins at 9:30 a.m., at 2320 Seventh St., Columbus. Over the next few weeks leading up to Easter, the church will be going through a series entitled “Cultivating and Letting Go.” This will be a study of Jesus’ life and ministry leading to the cross. The church will be challenged to let go of the things which are hindering one and cultivate those things which deepen ones relationship with God.

Sunday school classes for all ages follows at 10:45 a.m. There are programs for both Children and Youth as well.

Old Union United Church of Christ — Join at 10 a.m. on Sunday for the fourth Sunday of Lent. Sunday school is at 9 a.m., followed by fellowship at 9:40 a.m. Pastor Kirby Rupp will deliver the message, “The Price of Resentment,” with readings from Joshua 5:9-12; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; and Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32.

Wednesday Bible study resumes at 6 p.m.

St. Paul Lutheran — The 8 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday will be celebrated at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6045 E. State St., Columbus, with Pastor Doug Bauman’s sermon entitled “The Song of Salvation,” based on Isaiah 12:1-6. Christian Educational classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m. Spanish worship service will held at 10:45 a.m.

The theme for the 6:45 p.m. Wednesday Lenten service will be based on “Learn from Jesus Christ to Pray” with Pastor Bauman’s sermon entitled “Watch and Pray so that You do not Fall into Temptation.”

A hymn sing will precede the service beginning at 6:30 p.m. A light meal will be served from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Room for a free-will offering that will benefit the Ascension Lutheran School in Gary.

Pastor Bauman will be the featured speaker for the Aurora Circuit Forum at St. John Lutheran Church, 220 Mechanic Street, Aurora, on Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. with the theme “Lutheran: What Does This Mean?” All are invited and cost is free.

Petersville United Methodist — At the 9 a.m. worship service, the Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message, “Living Light.” Scriptures from Luke 12:29-34 will be shared by the liturgist Patsy Harris with the focus on the question, “How Do We Create Space to Flourish in the Ways God Intends?”, at the church, located at 2781 N. County Road 500E, Columbus. The choir will provide special music and Teresa Covert will give the children’s sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

At 10:30 a.m., the study “Shaped by God’s Heart” will convene and will be led by the pastor.

The Baker’s Dozen study group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting. The Journey study class also meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Chris Kimerling’s home. New members are always welcome to both classes.

The Sit and Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Nolting home. Choir practice is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and the Prayer Group will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

The United Methodist Men’s group will meet at 7:15 p.m. April 7 at the church fellowship hall. The annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by United Methodist Women, will be April 13.

Unitarian Universalist — At 10 a.m. on Sunday, the service message, “When the Well Runs Dry,” will be given by Rev. Nic Cable about how to find the strength and purpose to move forward when ones well runs dry and they feel like they’re running on empty.

Westside Community — At 10 a.m. Sunday, Pastor Dennis Aud will lead the service at the church, at State Road 46 West and Tipton Lakes Boulevard, Columbus. The pastors are continuing a new sermon series titled “Before I Die…”, with Pastor Aud presenting “I want to … Love Like Jesus,” from John 13:33-35.

The children’s program for birth through sixth grade meets at the same time as the 10 a.m. worship service. This Sunday the elementary students will be joining their parents in worship.

Westside will host an Easter egg hunt from 2 to 3 p.m. April 13 at the church for children from birth through 6 grade.
