Letter: City in good hands with Lienhoop as mayor

From: Sherry Stark

Columbus

As now required by The Republic, I am plunking down my $25 in order to write a letter in support of Mayor Jim Lienhoop’s re-election. It is money well spent to have the opportunity to encourage all registered voters to cast a ballot to re-elect Jim Lienhoop as our mayor on May 7, or even earlier for those who choose to vote early.

Mayor Lienhoop has assembled a talented team of professionals to help lead the city. He has also built strong partnerships with local employers, county and state governments, area foundations, community leaders and a variety of talented and committed people of all ages and backgrounds. In short, our city government is working and working well!

Jim Lienhoop has effectively and aggressively addressed our train problem that will bring a new railroad overpass, increased efforts to ensure public safety, kept strong fiscal control of city finances, and partnered with others in developing programs responding to the opiod crisis. In short, Mayor Lienhoop demonstrates the "Columbus Way" of doing things — strong leadership, effective problem-solving, and a commitment to being a good partner with other community stakeholders.

Our city is in very good hands with Mayor Jim Lienhoop at the helm. He gets my enthusiastic vote, and I encourage others to join me in voting Jim Lienhoop for Mayor.
