The local job market deteriorated for the sixth consecutive month in March, and the Bartholomew County unemployment rate spiked to 9.3 percent, the highest since the mid-1980s, with more than 3,700 people looking for work.

The Bartholomew County Election Board conducted a mock election to test equipment and give area residents a chance to familiarize themselves with voting machines.
