• Scott Ousley, a Northside Elementary School counselor for hooking up my car battery Monday, from Margaret.

• the man in the black car with limousine plates who stopped to keep me and my daughter safe on Thursday.

• Exhibit Columbus for a great report to the community about the forthcoming exhibition, which is a great opportunity for our community to market itself to visitors.

• Royalty Roofing for sponsoring our entire cheer season fees, from a thankful Power Elite family.

• Dr. Hall for being so kind and understanding when caring for Auggie.

• everyone at Schmitt for all the hard work they all put in for family night.

• organizers of the Pride Festival who make me proud to be from Columbus.

• Dr. Greg Phillips and his wonderful staff for their excellent patient care.

• Connie Shafer, our Mead Village awesome newspaper carrier, who is delivering the Republic to our porch so we have no more edge-of-the-road deliveries or wet papers, from Fred and Linda.

• Betina at the east-side Walmart for her patience and perseverance to get my my new cell phone, from Mary R.

• Matlock Plumbing and their employees Hayden and Daren for a job well done, from Pete and Betty.

• Joe Golding for the letter in the paper supporting the river front and getting his facts correct.

Onions to …

• school bus drivers who don’t obey the speed limit, i.e. 45 in a 30.

• those that say unkind things concerning the Pride Festival when their time should be used practicing the teaching of John 15:12, “Love one another as I have loved you.”

• the city for its lack of affordable housing and a lack of action to solve it.

• the contractor for the never-ending new home project and stone cutting early mornings, ruining our peace and quiet.

• the letter writer for praising the current mayor for demonstrating the “Columbus Way” when that way excludes most of us and benefits only very few.

• television networks breaking regular game show programming for coverage of the Mueller report release as there are news networks to cover that.

• the attorney general who felt compelled to tell Americans what to think about the Mueller Report before allowing them to read it.

• our city for hosting a gay pride festival, but denying another student a baby box for the city as a senior project.

• whomever was responsible for the pie filling contest at the grade school, which left a big mess.

• the lady in the white van who left two small children in car seats unattended at Eastbrook Plaza.

• the congressman who’s priorities are out of line.
