Bartholomew County Soil and Water Conservation District is offering two opportunities for residents to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day this month.
The district will host a tree giveaway from 5 to 7 p.m. April 26 at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds. More than 1,200 trees will be available for free to the public, with a five-tree limit per person. For more information, visit the Tree Giveaway page on the district’s website at bartholomewswcd.org.
The Rain Barrel Cost-Share Program is now underway and will remain available until all funds are exhausted for rebates. Any Bartholomew County resident may receive a $40 rebate per rain barrel installed on their property (up to four barrels). For additional information, visit the Rain Barrel Cost-Share Program page on the district’s website.
