Current Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. fifth graders who would like to perform as musicians during the next school year will have a final opportunity to sign up this week.
Those students who wish to play in band during sixth grade should arrive in the Northside Middle School band room, 1400 27th St., at 5 p.m. through 7 p.m. Thursday, according to Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. band director B.J. Marks.
This will be the night that each child can meet with a band director, sign-up for the instrument of their choice, and register for the upcoming free summer band program, Marks said.
If the student rents through Paige’s Music, their instrument and starter pack will be waiting for them in the classroom on Friday, June 1, the first day of summer band.
