• the cast and production crew at Willow Leaves of Hope for a delightful performance of “Farce of Nature” and a delicious meal.

• the heavy equipment operator who was delivering the backhoe at 17th Street near the hospital and called the police for the distressed runners.

• the staff at Bartholomew County Public Library for keeping the library clean, safe, attractive, efficient and creative

• the sheriff for wanting something done about the cross walk in front of the jail.

• the three Kroger employees and others who stopped by to help me when I fell on the sidewalk in front of the store.

• the girls at Webb’s garage for fixing my car window yesterday.

Onions to …

• the driver of the black car that passed on a double yellow line on Carr Hill Road.

• evangelicals who support the president and his non-Christian behavior past and present.

• the driver of the white Subaru passing on a double yellow on Terrace Lace Road Sunday.

• the City of Columbus that pays about $4 million toward the purchase of FairOaks Mall, pays $1 million toward the rebuild of Indiana University’s Columbus home of its new master’s of architecture program and wants to spend $8.6 million on a Riverfront project, but doesn’t seem to have money to pave our streets.

• the Democrats who cannot see the sunshine that our president has sprinkled on the world.

• the neighbor who constantly lies about her past and believes those she tells do not know better in this small community.

• those who keep their priorities on developing downtown (more) and not seeing that the rest of Columbus is rotting from the inside out.

• the president who keeps saying he is protecting pre-existing conditions while pushing his court case for full repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which gives people with pre-existing conditions protection, which they would lose if he won his case.

• anyone who sends robocalls.

• law enforcement unable or unwilling to enforce traffic laws in front of its own buildings.

• the helmet-wearing father who had children behind his bicycle in the cart, who had nothing to protect their heads.
