Our only previously submitted letters to the editor were dated May 2, 2015. Both were in support of Jim Lienhoop in his campaign for mayor of our outstanding community. Once again we write asking for that same enthusiastic support of our current Mayor Jim.
We have all had the opportunity to witness the excellent work Jim is doing on behalf of all citizens of Columbus. I took the time to reread the many support letters for Jim on April 30, May 1 and May 2 of 2015, and the mayor has most certainly lived up to the community’s high expectations.
While much has been accomplished, there is much left to do. Many challenges do not have “quick fixes." We all know what they are. One of Jim’s greatest assets is to think long-term and develop solid plans for a sustainable future.
Unfortunately, I doubt that we will ever live in a society where we all agree on community priorities. However, it is fortunate that we are blessed with leaders like Jim Lienhoop that are willing to discuss issues openly and collaborate inclusively with others to move Columbus in a positive direction. We ask others to please join us in voting to re-elect Jim Lienhoop for mayor of Columbus, Indiana.
