Orchids to …

• the team at the City Garage who helped us recycle and haul away damaged trees, showing that this city department has a “can do” attitude, from Chuck and Suzanne Wells.

• Dan Boyer for the chairs, from a disabled person.

• The Sanctuary Church for an incredible spring concert.

• Bucceto’s for over-the-top good service and a great time Saturday night during the prom, from one of the prom crews.

• Nick at Lincoln Square for supporting Keepsake Village in our fundraising efforts to end Alzheimer’s.

• Lincoln Square’s Nick and Maria for their abundant generosity in supporting our Keepsake Keepers Walk to End Alzheimer’s team.

• Diana Roberts and Carolyn Guthrie for their quart jars, from Karen Nading.

• the choir director, organist, choir and trumpeter for all the outstanding music this past Sunday at First Baptist Church.

• the bell ringers at First Baptist Church this last Sunday for their music.

• Mason at Lowe’s for all the help on Friday when I purchased replacement windows.

• the wonderful young woman who found my black shoulder bag in the Whitfield Drive Walmart parking lot on May 2 and turned it in to staff, who had it secured in customer service.

• Aleesa Hege Dickerson, ag and horticulture teacher, who had a successful plant sale at Hauser High School Saturday, and to all who supported the school, FFA and all who helped in any way.

Onions to …

• the person who hit the goose and left it in the middle of the road.

• the customer at Friday afternoon who was yelling and confrontational with the cashier, telling him maybe he should try to smile, from a customer who observed your horrible behavior.

• non-Columbus residents who don’t pay city taxes, but who publicly campaign for persons running for the city offices that set the city tax rates.

• the neighbor that mows their lawn at 10 p.m., bothering everyone.

• Columbus for not having very many service professionals for senior citizens at affordable rates.

• those for spending money on a pedestrian lighting system when it wont fix the actual physical problem, rather than using the money to put in a pedestrian bridge or simply moving the parking lot.

• the store customer who made it her business to tell me about changing my plastic gloves.

• the guests that visited the west side hardware store and let their dog defecate on the floor in the garden center and didn’t clean it up.

• the paving crew and company working on northbound Central Avenue that left a 2-inch step up in the pavement just crossing over Rocky Ford Road, which is difficult to see at night and messes up a vehicle’s front end, and for not installing any warning signs.

• the presidential administration for its North Korea foreign policy.

• those who don’t update PowerSchool on a regular basis yet expect students and parents to check the site every single day.
