Craft beer fest pours on another success

The Columbus Craft Beer Fest, organized by ZwanzigZ Pizza & Brewing, returned to the Round Lake at Mill Race Park downtown Saturday, with a sizable crowd amid some 50 vendors of craft beer and food.

Three area bands provided live tunes from classic rock to jazz and more at the 21-and-older event.

Proceeds from the festival go to local charities. The last event in 2017 raised more than $60,000 for two local nonprofits.

Organizers moved the event to the spring after temperatures at the previous two events in the fall were well into the 90s.

The event began in 2016 partly as an added offering to the local social calendar for younger people and others.
