2009

Using a $23,000 community development grant from the Cummins Foundation, more than 50 Cummins employees designed, constructed and installed two, eight-piece sets of fitness equipment, one at the Mt. Healthy County Park physical fitness trail and one at Mt. Healthy Elementary School playground.

1994

The downtown building where longtime Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. educator and administrator M. Sue Pifer worked for 13 years was officially dedicated and named the M. Sue Pifer Educational Services Center in her memory.

1969

Hamilton Cosco Inc. of Columbus was named the “Great Hoosier Company of the Year” by the Sons of Indiana in New York, an organization composed of “Hoosiers living in New York who want to bring honor and credit to the state.”
