Driver arrested on multiple charges after traffic stop

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested a local man after a traffic stop on North U.S. 31.

Deputy Matt Bush made the traffic stop at 7:46 p.m. Thursday, and determined that the driver, Jeremy Morgan, 32, 2216 Hawcreek Ave., Columbus, had a pending warrant for his arrest.

Morgan was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:

  • Possession of heroin
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of paraphernalia
  • Legend drug injection devices
  • Body attachment
  • Driving while suspended with a prior conviction

Morgan was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $128,000 bond, jail officials said.
