Sheriff’s department keeping mum on details about weekend shooting

The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department is withholding most details about a weekend shooting, as an investigation continues into the incident reported at 12:36 p.m. Sunday in Jonesville.

Deputies arrested Vicky E. Shade, 51, of 309 Jackson St., Jonesville, after the shooting was reported in the 300 block of Jackson Street.

Shade was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness, shooting a firearm into a building, on a bond of $15,000, according to jail records.

The victim in the shooting, who was identified as being 49-years-old, was listed in stable condition Sunday afternoon in an undisclosed Indianapolis hospital after being flown there by helicopter, said Sheriff Matt Myers.
