Marketplace: Kramer promoted to VP of Louisville & Indiana Railroad

Jeremy Kramer was promoted to vice president at Louisville & Indiana Railroad on May 10.

In his new role, he will be responsible for all railroad transportation processes including train operations, dispatching, locomotive maintenance and Clagg Bridge operations.

Kramer joined the LIRC in 2014 and most recently held the role of director of transportation. Prior to joining the LIRC, he was with Canadian National Railway, where he held multiple positions including assistant superintendent of the Chicago Division.

His efforts at the LIRC have been awarded multiple times, including being a Progressive Railroading Rising Star in 2016 and ASLRRA Safety Person of the year in 2018.

In addition to working for various railroads Jeremy was also a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 and served as a senior adviser to the country on railroad operations. Kramer graduated from Indiana University.
