HAYDEN — No injuries have been reported following a dump truck versus train crash in western Jennings County Friday morning.
A STE Schneider dump truck carrying metal was struck by a CSX train on County Road 750W just north of U.S. 50 in Jennings County. The area is west of Hayden.
The crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m.
The driver was not injured, but was taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for evaluation, police said.
The truck sustained damage to the hood and was turned around after the crash.
Police expect the train to remain in place for several more hours for cleanup.
The Jennings County Sheriffs Department is investigating the crash. The Spencer Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted.
