Semi crash blocks northbound lanes of I-65 at 56 mile marker

1:50 P.M. UPDATE: The accident scene has been cleared and traffic is now moving normally in the northbound lanes of I-65, according to the Indiana State Police.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Interstate 65 northbound lanes are completely stopped near the 56 mile marker near the Jackson and Bartholomew County line due to a multiple-vehicle crash involving two semis and a car.

Indiana State Police are advising motorists to use U.S. 31 or State Road 11 to avoid a delay in the northbound lanes of the interstate. The accident happened at about 10:15 a.m. this morning and the roadway continues to be blocked.
