The Jennings County School Corp. has a vacancy on its board and is accepting applications from those interested in the position.
The vacancy is for District 1, which represents Bigger, Campbell, Columbia and Vernon townships. The position is open because of the resignation of James Warren Lucas.
Qualifications for the position include:
- Age 21 or older
- Registered voter in the territorial limits of Jennings County School Corp. for at least one year
- Have resided in one of the District 1 townships for at least one year
- Do not hold any elective or appointive political office under the jurisdiction of any precinct, township or county unit
- Not interested in any contract with, or claim against, Jennings County School Corp., either directly or indirectly
