Flood warning issued for Bartholomew, Jennings counties

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Bartholomew County, effective at 4:44 p.m., continuing until 7:45 p.m., due to thunderstorms producing heavy rain in the area.

Also in the flood warning are Shelby, Johnson and Jennings counties.

Up to 2 inches of rain have already fallen in this afternoon’s storm, according to the National Weather Service.

The cities and towns of Columbus, Edinburgh, Hope,  Flat Rock, Geneva, Elizabethtown, Hartsville, Clifford, Jonesville, Newbern, Waymansville, Grammer, Azalia and Taylorsville are under the flood warning.
