• Mindy at the National Road AT&T Store for the outstanding customer service in getting my mother’s home phone issue resolved.

• Overhead Door for fast, professional service in repairing our broken garage door.

• Cassandra at Dr. Darcy’s office for helping Bruce.

• Mike K. Gray and Timara Gray for coming to the hospital with Grandma last Friday and staying with me, from Grandma, Paula Rice.

• Brother Eli Johnson, Connie, Cody, Jerry and Kim for coming to the hospital to visit me this past weekend, from Paula Rice.

• The Republic for a fabulous editorial page Friday, because every article deserves to be read and learned from.

• John Brooks for his letter in Friday’s letter about the resources Columbus offers for the poor and needy.

Onions to …

• the person describing the Crump as a “blight on downtown,” which makes it painfully obvious that the person not from our hometown.

• people who constantly watch their neighbors so they can gossip around the neighborhood.

• people who say they don’t want government takeover of our health care while turning a blind eye as the government takes over women’s health care.

• the train operator who holds the train horn down all the way going through two crossovers, which is very rude.

• the architectural firm for not conducting a successful public presentation, creating a lack of confidence in its ability to successfully complete the more difficult project.

• the idea of free health care for illegals being OK but not being free for veterans.

• those who’ll do everything for illegals but nothing for the homeless citizens.

• those who do not understand that parents who bring children to this country for their safety is legal asylum seeking.
