A former Bartholomew County Sheriff’s reserve deputy accused of molesting a child at Ceraland Park and Campground in 2018 will appear in court for a change of plea hearing in December.

Larry L. Scott, 73, of Hope, who led night-time security as a volunteer for Ceraland, was arrested on July 22, 2018 on two felony charges of child molestation, felony possession of child pornography, one felony charge of performing sexual conduct in the presence of a minor younger than 14 and a misdemeanor court of possession of paraphernalia, according to court documents.

Scott appeared in court for an initial change of plea hearing Monday, with a request for a continuance from his attorney granted by Bartholomew Superior Court 1 Judge James Worton.

The new change of plea hearing is set for 10 a.m. Dec. 16 in Bartholomew Superior Court 1, court officials said.
