2009

Four area hospitals, Columbus Regional, Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon and Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg were found to have made zero serious medical errors in 2008, according to the Indiana State Department of Health’s annual report of the Indiana Medical Error Reporting Systems.

1994

Despite concerns with traffic and frustration over lack of information about the project, Columbus City Council gave initial approval to a proposed 88-unit apartment complex on Carr Hill Road.

Columbus Board of Works approved a parade of 11 Volkswagens through Columbus sponsored by the local Volkswagen dealership and the three local theaters to promote a movie showing locally, “The Love Bug.”
