• people who paid attention in school and who understand you cut interest rates when the economy is weak, not when it is strong.

• those for the lovely flowers downtown on Washington Street, especially the ones that look like they have lace around the flower basket, because they are just gorgeous.

• Kristen Brown for fighting for 2.5 years for something that should have been given to her instantly with no questions asked.

• Central Middle School’s Chargers cross country team, which ran well Saturday at their first meet.

Onions to …

• Republicans that cry socialism and believe more tax cuts will help stagnant wages.

• the hospital who hasn’t fixed the broken elevator.

• people who blow their grass out into roadway.

• the school that creates a traffic jam after school, and the only way around the traffic jam is also closed.

• people so emotionally fragile they feel hurt and intimidated by nearly everything.

• city officials for breaking the public access laws and wasting so much money trying to keep public information secret.

• the woman in the exercise class who needs to mind her own business and stop chatting with people during exercise, disturbing others.

• city officials who think they have the authority to restrict access to public records.

• the city for wasting $110,000 trying to hide their dirty laundry.

• people who are supposed to be friends who forget others when they’re down and out.
